We regularly ask ourselves where the differences are when the reports with the turnover are compared from the list view. Here you can read the statement.

General reports (Management reporting)
The reporting function (the piepoint icon) in RoomRaccoon only serves as management reporting. The purpose of this is to offer you as a hotelier an overview of what you have theoretically converted into a certain period. This involves consumed turnover, ie turnover that is theoretically earned at the time the guest stays, but which is not necessarily paid for at that time. It is possible that the guest has already paid in advance or is actually going to pay in arrears. The money comes in another month, but is management-technical a merit for the month of January.

Example: If you have a reservation that runs from 20-01 to 10-02, this reservation will take place in 2 months. It may be that the guest paid on 10-02, with the accounting turnover falling in February. By contrast, the sales consumed fall in both months. RoomRaccoon will therefore neatly split the turnover between January and February and will report the part of the turnover that will be shown in January when you search on January. The overview thus shows what you have earned in theory during the relevant period. However, it is possible that this turnover actually comes in another month / period. The same applies to all data (tourist tax etc) that are shown in this report. These data are deliberately not printable, because you can not do anything with accounting. It is above all a fun and useful tool that shows you how your hotel or B & B has been run in a certain period of time.

List view (Accounting reporting)
The list view (to be found from the calendar under 'List') has a different purpose. Here you will find all reservations with the payments, which are actually useful for your bookkeeping. Here you will find the reservations and an overview of what has already been paid and what is still open. You then match this with the day ending, in which you find out on which date and with which payment method the payments have been paid. So you have accounting useful information that is correct. The reason that these data differ from the management reporting is explained by an example:
If you search in the list view on the month of February, all the reservations that start in the month of February with the corresponding amount will show. Where the management report splits it per period, when adding the period from the list will show the full amount associated with this reservation. So suppose the reservation runs through to March, the full amount is in the February download. Because of this you can not compare both with each other and it is logical that differences exist.

Day closing
Under the general reports you will also find the 'Day closing'. This shows the payments that actually took place on a certain day (or in a certain period). You can use the day-end to see with which payment method the guest has paid. You can match these on the basis of reservation number.
