How does the connection work?

Payment request

With Peach Payments, you may send your guests a payment request which will have the option for guests to pay through a secure instantEFT and credit card gateway directly from their email.

Send the payment request from reservations

Guest will fill in card details

After clicking pay, you will be redirected and receive an OTP or authorisation request from your bank to ensure 3DS security.

Once authorized, a successful payment message will be relayed from the property to confirm the payment has been received.

With the instantEFT option, you will be able to connect to any South African bank by using your bank login details and authorising the payment.

Banks offered are:

Absa
Nedbank
Standard Bank
Capitec
Investec
Discovery
OldMutual
African Bank
Tyme Banke
Bidvest Bank

Booking Engine

Guests can make deposits through the booking engine. This can be done via an instant EFT or a credit/debit card.

Credit card charge on the reservation

You can use the peach payment gateway to charge credit cards on the reservation by clicking the reservation and on the payments section there is a button “charge credit card for X Value”. Click on this and the credit card will be charged.

Please note: The credit card charge is not a secure payment and there’s a risk of the guest charging back the given amount or entering fraudulent credit card details.

Pre-authorisation

The pre-authorisation fee is a fee that the guest pays as a holding fee and can be redirected back to their account after their stay, essentially this is a holding fee.

One of the ways we recommend you to use this is for a damage deposit which is a set amount that a guest pays either before or on arrival, which is refunded if there's no damage to the property.

A pre-authorisation can be done on the reservation on the payments tab, click pre-authorisation.

Good to know

Bookings that have already been paid will be displayed on payments in the reservation. These can be bookings from the Booking engine, payment request or the online check-in.

With Peach payments, credit cards are tokenised and therefore guests don’t have to worry about card fraud as there are mitigations for this.

Peach payments are beneficial because payments are secure (3D authentication) , easy to use and time-saving.

The partial amount is the amount that you want to charge as a payment. If one is not set then the amount will default to the total amount to be requested.

On pre-authorisation, ensure to either capture or cancel the payment within 7 days.

Add-ons can be deducted from credit cards.

Booker profile must have an email address to send a payment request and online check-in documents. Ensure this information is put through the booker section and not the guest.
