RoomRaccoon offers the hotelier the possibility to fluctuate prices based on availability. For example, you can set up a last-minute deal for bookings that are made 3 days before arrival to have a discount or increase in prices. You can set Yield rules by clicking on the room key icon at the top left of the screen and by opening the Yield tab. Here you can then set a rule. 

Set the 'range':

The first step is to set your range. In the example below a price change will be made between 60% and 100% if the range is available, but only between 1 and 8 days before check-in. This is a perfect example of a last minute discount. 



Set the action:

When you have set the range you want to yield to be activated for, you can then set the action. You can give a discount, or a surcharge. In addition, you can indicate on which days of the week you would like to set this rule.



Set the rates:

Finally, you can set the rates at which you want to perform the action. For example, you can set this only for your external channels. So promotions can be given from RoomRaccoon!



Set the control:

Next, the channel manager can check which rates are or are not influenced by Yield. This can be seen because the rates are given a light blue colour. 



Important!
Yield management only works on the standard rates. This means that if you have already changed a rate manually (for example you have already raised the Christmas days) Yield will not influence this.
