When the guest is redirected from the Booking Engine to Stripe, the following happens between RoomRaccoon and Stripe: 

The reservation is cancelled at the same time as the status in RoomRaccoon (not as a pop-up, but in the background). 

The payment is debited from the bank account of the client/guest. The payment must be made in Stripe by the customer / guest

The payment must be made in Stripe by the customer / guest.

The payment is offered by Stripe and is available for 6 hours to be collected by RoomRaccoon.

After a successful payment, RoomRaccoon will check with Stripe whether the payment has been made in full and correctly. If this is the case, the reservation will be put on status and the payment in RoomRaccoon will be placed at the time of reservation.

If something goes wrong for any reason, Stripe will cancel the payment.

The money will be automatically returned to the customer's account within a few days.

The booking remains cancelled in RoomRaccoon. You can find the booking by searching by name in the calendar. You will then see it cancelled with status.

The guest will receive a refund and can rebook.

Of course this is exceptional and it is good to see how this could happen. You can always inform us about this so we can see what went wrong.
